Lily came to DWK when her previous owner had arranged transport for her to go to the local animal shelter. Lily was originally trained for sprint and was not simply quick enough for the team. I decided I would work with her in an attempt to see if she was a candidate for the team. A dog trained for the sprint, who is unable to keep up, oftentimes proves to do excellent as a pacesetter in a mid-distance/long-distance team. Lily has done multiple junior races.
